Position Overview:
The General Manager will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing the operations of four distinct businesses:
A boutique hotel complex with 6 private pool villas (team: 7 people, including an Operational Manager)
A gelateria (1 outlet, team: 3 people)
A fashion and souvenir boutique (2 outlets, team: 3 people)
A crêperie (1 stand + 1 café/restaurant, team: 6 people)
We are looking for someone structured, autonomous, and proactive, with strong leadership skills and the ability to manage and coordinate various operations using efficient digital tools. This person must have excellent command of tracking tools (Excel/Google Sheets) and a strategic mindset to optimize operations and support the growth of each business.
JOB DESCRIPTION - GENERAL MANAGER
Main responsibilities:
1. Overall Operational Management
Ensure the smooth daily operations of each business by supporting and guiding the existing teams (identifying and solving operational issues, optimizing schedules, etc.).
Monitor and improve the application of SOPs and the quality of products and services through regular spot checks.
Oversee cash handling and reporting from the various teams.
Ensure that all necessary maintenance is carried out promptly, with support from the teams or external contractors.
Coordinate the efforts of team leaders and ensure clear, consistent communication across teams.
Identify recruitment and training needs.
Support team members in achieving goals and developing their skills.
Manage hotel reservations and handle pre-arrival guest communication.
Provide support to the Operational Manager and staff in case of challenging guest situations.
2. Financial Supervision & Performance Analysis
Develop and/or improve automated tools (Excel/Google Sheets) to monitor KPIs in real-time (sales, costs, margins, stock, footfall, guest satisfaction, etc.) and optimize overall business performance.
Conduct regular performance reviews and suggest actionable improvements.
Produce detailed, regular reports to support effective decision-making and business monitoring.
Ensure cost control and proper stock management across all outlets.
Track financial flows related to bookings, payments, and expenses, and analyze profitability to maximize margins.
3. Strategy & Development
Make proactive suggestions to improve organization, profitability, and service quality.
Identify growth opportunities (new products, cost optimizations, loyalty strategies, new offers, partnerships, etc.).
Contribute to the planning and execution of improvement and expansion projects (e.g. renovations, new services).
Monitor market trends and competitors to adjust strategies accordingly.
Required skills:
Technical Skills
Excellent proficiency in Excel / Google Sheets (pivot tables, automation, dashboards, etc.).
Strong understanding of digital tools and the ability to integrate them into daily operations.
Ability to analyze financial and operational data.
Knowledge of hospitality and/or F&B management is a strong advantage.
Previous experience in Indonesia is a plus.

Full-time position based in Gili Air, Indonesia
Direct reporting to the owner
Contract and compensation to be defined based on experience
Position opened to both Indonesian nationals and foreigners requiring a KITAS
